Barr Even

Barr Even is a Managing Partner at Rebalance Capital. Previously, Barr managed the private investment portfolio at Ray Dalio‘s family office. His responsibilities included overseeing its impact investment sleeve with concentrations in financial inclusion and access to education, themes directly aligned with Rebalance Capital’s strategy.

Barr previously worked in the growth equity team of Generation IM, Al Gore’s mission-driven investment manager. He began his career as an investment banker in the Financial Institutions Group at Morgan Stanley and relocated to Israel to cover Technology.

Barr has been committed to impact investing since college. He organized his college’s first student-led climate change conference. Seeing how its efforts petered out without financial sustainability led him to prioritize a career where he can be impactful in a scalable way.

Barr holds an undergraduate degree in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University, a Masters of Public Health from Columbia University, and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard University. He lives in Connecticut with his husband, Steven, and daughter.
