Josh Tanenbaum

Josh Tanenbaum is a Managing Partner at Rebalance Capital. Josh has been active in the asset management space for a decade. Most recently, he was an investment banker at Citi covering Fin Techs and alternative asset managers, where he executed over 15 transactions with clients such as Ares, Blackstone, and TPG. Previously Josh was an investing fellow at Partners Group, and an executive search and human capital consultant at Korn Ferry. In this role, he co-founded the firm’s impact investing practice and supported the rollout of its human capital M&A solution for asset managers.

Josh started his career as an entrepreneur. He founded and successfully exited LOCAL VIBES, an artist scouting and cause marketing tech ecosystem startup. Seeing the company’s “scalable social DNA” is how Josh fell in love with investing in companies that support upward mobility using commercially scalable solutions.

Josh has an undergraduate degree from the University of Melbourne and a Master of Business Administration from Cornell’s SC Johnson College of Business. He lives in New York City with his wife, daughter, and cat, Liz, Ariyah, and Moxie.
